As a representation of UGC, CBSE shall hold the national eligibility test for deciding the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or JRF & Eligibility for Assistant Professor in universities and colleges. There are 84 subjects which net is conducted at 89 cities all over the India.
After qualify the junior research fellowship, the students are eligible to get admission in the subject of their post graduation or also eligible for assistant professor. The award of JRF and eligibility criteria for the assistant professor is according to the accomplishment of candidate. Paper –I: paper -I Consists of general nature, teaching and research aptitude of the candidates. It contains reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. In this, candidates must attempt 50 questions out of 60 questions.
Paper –II: it consists of selected subject objective type questions. Number of questions are 50 and all are compulsory. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-III: it consists of selected subject objective type questions. Number of questions are 75 and all are compulsory. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper II and paper III contains entire syllabus of that subject which has to be selected by the candidate.
